Privacy by design
Your text does not pass through a TypePilot server.
TypePilot uses a Bring Your Own Key model. Your selected text and relevant writing settings travel directly from Chrome to the Google Gemini API only when you request an action.
Settings also sends your key to Google to discover available models, without editor text. Google's processing of API content depends on its terms and plan. Do not submit sensitive content to unpaid Gemini services.

Get started
Install TypePilot from the Chrome Web Store.
Open the Store listing in desktop Chrome, choose Add to Chrome, confirm Add extension, and pin TypePilot. Open Settings, add your own Gemini API key, and refresh existing website tabs. Check Google's access requirements and quotas before use. The free extension does not include Google API usage.
